Bumble Bizz International Women's Day Soirée
The story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights,” Gloria Steinem said. This past weekend, I had the honor of hosting a beautiful International Women’s Day Soirée on behalf of Bumble with San Diego’s leading female entrepreneurs.
Bumble has expanded beyond dating into friendship and business networking. You can find Bumble Date, Bumble BFF and Bumble Bizz all within the Bumble app. Bumble Bizz and CTZN FEM, a female founded boutique branding and marketing firm, teamed up to connect and activate San Diego’s female business owners and thought leaders. A group of local female founders attended the evening at a wine bar in South Park to celebrate women showing up, stepping up and creating a better world. Bumble Bizz is a location-based professional networking platform within the Bumble app. Developing business connections is more important than ever. In fact, 80% of all new jobs are found through networking—so one connection can change the course of your entire career. You never know where you’ll find your next business partner, mentor, side hustle, or capital raise.
The evening consisted of an intimate gathering of San Diego’s leading ladies in honor of International Women’s Day, a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women as well as a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Through a diverse group of women with efforts in multiple areas including the business and nonprofit space, a dinner and conversation around female empowerment, stepping up and creating a better world occurred. The evening consisted of a dinner and a letter to your future self activity. Attendees learned about “Women in Bizz” a new product feature providing women globally with the option of limiting their professional networking exclusively to other women.
